Ceylon Preservation Project

Ceylon was a modern, statically-typed programming language for the Java and JavaScript virtual machines, developed by Red Hat and later the Eclipse Foundation. The project was archived in 2017. Official infrastructure, including the website, module repository, and download servers, has since gone offline.

This project aims to preserve Ceylon’s documentation, tools, and source code and keep the language runnable in modern environments.

Status

Initial content was published on May 1, 2026, with much more to come.
